The way I always do it (if you can) power down passenger side / speaker wire down drivers side / RCA'sYou won't need the original speaker wires coming out the head unit.

The speaker wires going through the rubber sleeve into the doors, is this ok to use for new speakers? im up grading the speakers and it seems like a lot of work to change if not needed. i will run new wire from the sleeves to the amp.

The crossovers sit behind the speaker.
You can bi-wire ANY speaker from the lowest cost does that help with filtering what wire gets what frequencies.
Available by the manufacturer, but bi-amping does.
