What is the difference? I can hear a classic heavy metal and a thrash metal influence on both, and to me bands within those genres basically sound the same? I haven't heard much speed metal, so maybe that's the reason?
While discussing feel free to suggest...

Power metal and speed metal used to be fairly synonymous back as to who are power metal, and who are speed metal, blah blah etc.
Everything you need for recommendations.

HI, I commute 180 miles a day, 6 days a week. I noticed metal on metal grinding noise(more noticeable) at high speed above 75mph especially on asphalt road. I'm sure noise is there at low speed but not enough to notice.
My car has 50,000 miles.
Any suggestion...

Grinding? A metal grinding and you're still driving it?
You sure speed bumps, I do hear shock....
I would bring it in.
Tom Wheel bearings? Does the car still drive hanging down .
More wind and road noise at higher speed, but that's it.

I'm looking suggestions for more albums in the vein of the Helloween EP and Walls of Jericho. Just heads down pure relentless metal but easy on the cheese, as the line between speed and power metal is too thin sometimes. Suggestions old and new are appreciated...

Bit cheesy but has to be mentioned, Cacophony - Speed Metal Symphony!
Marty Friedman and Jason-
For starters.

It is a glorious thing. Though many imposters may come, and many within our group of metal lovers may inspire hate, or spew stupidity, we can all stand strong behind true metal, be it heavy, power, thrash, speed, black, crossover...

Most of it goes by revival or the new wave of thrash .
Check these out.
They are out there.
Either way, rec thread at the top.
Considering these are all old-school bands, I'd imagine that you would have better luck looking for old-school thrash .
