His count went form less as "rare motile sperm" and an accurate count/morphology couldn't be done due to the low count and I are going through....

For a 42 year old, his sperm count is likely to be relatively unchanged from what it was 20 years pregnant very quickly and he is 55! If you are concerned have his sperm count checked.
