I was trying to find something original and fun to do with artificial neural networks (ANNs) as a personal/learning project and I though it would be cool if I could predict the results of sports games (especially NHL games).

I've got a huge aversion to sports games and it was only tonight I was wondering why. I think it's because I enjoyed playing computer games to get away from reality and sports games keep you tied to it. I didn't even like made up sports games like Speedball...
