MIG welding aluminum isn't very common in motorsports.
I wont be needing it to weld.
Just a kind of cheap one to be honest.
And you can do aluminum that way.

What I have heard, 3% Tin, so it is not bad to weld.
Sorry cannot help you on the welding part; I have only gas-welded bronze.

We seldom welded of breakage....
We used a spray welder (Eutectic) to weld a crank of that equation I'm sure was cost, it just didn't make sense to weld a common crankshaft.

I then grind back to the inside weld from the outside and weld up the remainder of the hole.
On both sides and filled the hole from the inside first .
