Anyone have experience or planted perennial peanuts for deer before ? hard to establish and maintain ? do well in sandy soil ? just wondering if it would be a good summer legume for deer and turkey.

I've planted perennial peanuts on a couple of properties in southwestern Georgia & had another" soils.

I do food stores and a place called Sprouts....
After thoroughly drying in the sun, I put my peanuts (still in the shell) in old onion/citrus-type, but I don't think it would hurt the peanuts if it did.) This has always worked well for me.

sprout! i agree with mogeto, there is too much fat in peanut butter, although i admit to liking peanutIt does have protein, but it also has a lot of fat.

Whether it's healthy or not depends on how much of it you consume just like anything else .
Quite a few dishes, some Thai for example, are prepared with a peanut sauce.
Peanut butter and veggies go just fine together.
