I was on the optifast diet for 12 weeks - shakes for breakfast lunch and dinner plus 2 cups green vegetables per day - 2 teaspoons of oil and 2 ltrs water.

I am using it at the moment to kick start my body as with PCOS & underactive thyroid it can be a hard road.

I am so very excited to say that my insurance approved me for the LapBand and my surgery is scheduled for 5/4/12! I started the Optifast on 4/20/12 and the first day was super killer, but I've done great since (3 days now). I can't wait!

As with any other Diet you are advised to have HCP support /Approval
600kcal liquid diet (Optifast)/(slimfast) Plus 200kcal Veg so its really a 800kcal per day diet
