Over the past few months my starter would randomly cut out when turning the engine over, only ever once though and the engine would always fire up on the next turn. This never bothered me until I went to start it the other day and it was so intermittent...

to rule out starter unplug the red/black wire and bridge the ....

On original starter motor! ...think it'd only had a new battery and a new radiator from ramming broken very soon, so his car will definately have the starter motor you need PM sent, sorry much into starter motor....

Hello,
I did my manual gearbox swap quite happily and car has starter since multiple times...
recently hasnt started so been bump starting it, tested my starter inhibitor wiring and its fine
anyway battery is currently on charge just to eliminate that...

Hi,
I have a Raw bellhousing, 4age 20v to type 9, but cant get the starter motor to engage!
I have it wired: batt pos to "top" terminal and switch pos to "bottom" terminal if that makes sense.
The starter spins but doesn't turn the fly wheel, has anyone...

This is a FAQ but so far no good write-up.
So The following is from BMW T.I.S. Procedure Book for Removal of Starter Motor 6-Cylinder Engine (M52 Motor).
1. Copy your Radio FM Channels.
Then disconnect the Battery.
2. Follow the pictures to remove Starter...
