What US states are debtor prison states now? Especially for credit card debts.

They were outlawed and discontinued many, many years ago" instead of a debtor's prison.
No USA State has a debtors prison.
Type stuff.

Hi,
I'm trying to work out the US prison system ( wish me luck) - what's the difference between a State Prison and a Federal one - and what/who decides which one you end up in?
Any assistance greatfuly recieved #grins#

State prison's are operated/budgeted by individual states across America, then sentenced to state prison.

In some CA state prison there is formal "other" category that includes pretty much anybody that's not White, Black or Mexican. Exceptions to this rule might be Pacific Islanders with Crip/Blood affiliations, non-Mexican Latinos with Sur or Norte gang ...
