I want to know about acoustic steel strings. I want to know about light guage.

It would depend on a great many things: string gauge, construction, components and probably the angle of the string....
Metal alloys used in the string, the heat treat on the metals, the scale length of the guitartry it and find out.

Scubb is best for me, I keep it set for a specific guitar buy one, Shubb.

I'm curious to know if there's any album (or even single pieces) of steel guitar (or just slide) used in jazz music. I can't think of any major jazz guitarist using the slide...

So do the strings tension by the string....
Playing the guitar doesn't alleviate the stress from string tension.
Whether one plays a guitar or one doesn't, the stress imposed by the string tension remains the same.

Though don't ask me to remember seven string....
Brad's Page of Steel lists a boatload seven string tuned to open G and tuned the B string down to G.
And all (I also play 10 string console & pedal steel guitars).

For electric guitar I'm using Super Light Gauge - .009 .011 .016 .024 .032 .042 inch 0,23 0,28...usually D'Addario's.
