I've been using 6013 for all my stick welding
now that my AC buzz box quit I tried to weld With dc stick and I don't know . . . . It just wasn't working well Neg polariy worked best but still wasn't too good. Tried several amp settings . Using a lincoln...

Several in the new box? Anyway, when trying to weld with these cracked electodes, the arc would be fine cracks.
The flux could have been cracked already Saw it in welding class...
Moisture is my guess.

G,day , need to weld something very thin with my stick [inverter] . will use 1.6 rods at 40 amps or a bit less ,just cant remember which way around the leads should be connected to reduce blowing holes . I think its rod -ve but not sure . [hardly weld...
