The economy is growing now so we do not have to worry about a repeat of the 1930's, We just need to be careful we do not raise taxes to suddenly... .
I think increasing the debt would hurt more than cutting taxes or more spending will help in the long run .

When you pass a "one time only stimulus bill" then attribute the bill to your predessor and make that spending your baseline for future spending you have indeed turned truth on its head!
