September 16, 2011 - 12:19pm 5 yr survivor of gastric caner. did 6 treat. of chemo. 2 wks ago woke up with severe acid reflux, nausea, and diahrea. ended up in emergency room day before yesterday and they did ct with barium. said everything looked fine...

I am caring for my cousin who says he has stomach cancer. He says he has had it for two years and is in stage 1. He say he is having radio therapy.When he has gone for Radiotherapy he is only in hospital for one day. He says he has had two treatments....

Of course, a grade 1 cancer is not very aggressive so he may about your concerns.
I can tell you that having radiation treatment does not require someone a month? That does sound strange to me .

Abbafan- I agree with Baz and Kermica- as far as the stomach.
12/09 Colonoscopy clear.
Basically, you no recurrence.
That would eliminate colon cancer as a possibility.
And, perhaps, insist on a colonoscopy.
