All of the heat generated by a storage heater goes when on E7 storage heating....
Maybe not at the right time but it will all go into the room than an oil fired central heating boiler .

I hope you can help please. I am with EDF energy on Economy 7 Tarrif. My husband and I live in a 2 bedroom all electric flat. I recently received a bill from EDF which is abit high so i'm looking at ways to reduce this.

Cheers for the idea but unfortunately storage is an issue ,hence the heater but I'm definitely....
In the storage heaters are fire brick which retain the heat , these can be removed and are very and will last a long time heat wise.

Does anyone know anhything about storage heaters?
Mine are cooking me in the middle of the night, they just get so flipping hot. The engineer said it's a side effect of them taking in the heat overnight and it's tough luck.
Any tips to get round this?...

First of all - these will not be our main source of heat. We are not connected to gas mains, and do not have an oil tank - so would be an expensive option to install (also may not be in the house for more than a few years ??).

A big storage heater, the downside is you cant turn them off in the summer months, they cost about a low output storage heater wired in to your existing system and take advantage of what you already already have E7 night rate....
