I'm looking to buy somewhere around 10TB of physical storage for personal use. Ideally it would come in the form of a single HDD array or network storage. I don't have any experience with RAID, but it looks like a RAID 1 setup would give me the redundancy...

There are many third-party Zip solutions available for Delphi, both freeware and commercial.
You can change the file extension to whatever you want, its the file contents that are important .
Just use the .zip format.

A hot-swap bay - fast and portable/interchangeable - can be pricey mainstream .
They are now - fast - cheapest solution.
For storage solutions generally I'd recommend simple USB external hard drives.
