Important info, there needs to be a balance....
Going back a bit, Goldeneye on the N64 had very little story.
In single player games gameplay is paramount for me, story will have a say as well, but the gameplay is what counts.

Story mode didn't really cover....

Kingsmouth is overrun by zombies -- at some point you have to clean up some of the mess .

Luminous Arc felt of story.
It had the best story and the best gameplay, in my opinion, but I very much enjoy watching numbers get bigger.
As, for my take, I've only finished Disgaea of those three .
