Not since MGS1 I was impressed with a story in a video game. MGS4 single playerwas 70% movie, 30% Gameplay.

Simply put, what is more important to you, do you want an engaging story that will make keep playing just for the conclusion, or something that is entertaining tast you can play for hours?
I"m sure most people agree it just depends on the game, how balanced...

Story is important as well but I'd have to pick gameplay.
Gameplay, if the game isn't fun then it has to take quite the story to keep me playing.
Revelations comes to mind.

Maybe they could specialize in plasma weapons? I don't think that there's any race that does that currently .
