Bald street tires vs new tires? Going to the track on sunday and i was just wondering if bald 225's will be stickier than new 215 all season tires? Currently have the bald tires on the pony (look like slicks) but i have new tires as well and was wondering...

Who makes a decent 26" street tire? I'm not looking to break the bank. I'm thinking $25 - $35 each. I have a set of Specialized Nimbus now. They work fine bur are heavy and not at all fast. I'm converting an old rigid MTB to street use only.

I did the results showing at Sacramento Raceway 5-2-2012. I think its alright considering what it has and on a street tire and the weight of the car.
