Hi everyone, first post here! I've read through a lot of posts about squash bugs, but most of what I have found has been on combating them in the growing season. I'm in western Kentucky, and we will be adding rotted manure to the garden beds soon to start...

I stopped growing regular zukes and switched to Tromboncino.
Them in 4 yrs here until I grew squash/cukes and then Hooo boy! I think row covers are in order for me in NY.

I know it's a little early to be asking this, but - does anyone have a method for freezing squash? I've read if you just freeze it from the garden that it will be mushy when you use it to cook with. Someone had suggested going ahead and frying it and ...

Squash is mostly, salt and pepper and eat like that or use in a casserole.
Ready for a mess, thaw out some and use em just like you would if they were fresh .

My advice would return as far as I'm concerned.
To trail it, I haven't done spaghetti squash, but i did some crown prince.
If you're putting it in the ground, you'd best dig in a lot of manure, they are heavy feeders .
In the summer.
