Source(s): http://www.burpee.com/vegetables/squash/… same with your cucumbers - you can plant them now! I live.

Consistent advice seems to be to put 4 bean plants to a 45cm pot. The containers I want to use are 30l(?) flexitrugs...

Hmmm...I'd go with 2 beans too I'd give it a go because I do really... .
The nitrates the beans give off will help with the growth of the squash, so expect a squash plant with plenty of nice green leaves.
If it's sharing it with a squash.

My favorite type of squash is Acorn Squash, but I've never even heard of Banana ....
Once tender, we had butter and brown sugar.
We cut it in half and then lay flat in a pan with a little bit of water in it .
I like Butternut Squash.

Gem Squash is not available here in the USA, but I have found Acorn squash to be very similar.
Hi from a fellow South African!
Summer squashes are patty pans / crookneck squash and zucchini.
