One of the biggest complaints about Superman Returns is that it felt like a giant retread of Superman I. With Zod as the villain in Man of Steel, will this movie avoid being a retread of Superman II?

Reusing the same villain from Superman II hasn't helped matters.

Take a look at this video I found it funny even though I am a big fan of Superman and The death of Superman is one of my favorite story arcs.

Really....
You have to remember all the failed Superman projects were added to the production budget of Superman Returns.
To go in any direction it wanted while Superman Returns was continuing a dead series and put budget is misleading.
