Saving the finger while surf fishing with spin reel.
Took new rod n reel out today, gave it a test run, a spin surf setup with Stradic 6000fj,
Cast good but is there any method to reduce wear and tear on your finger holding the line.
I'm guessing rubber...

i havent really seen a lot of guys on here say what you use your trucks for, personally mine is used for driving on the beach every weekend to go surf fishing. usually every thursday or friday, i load my truck up and head to my beach house ...

I don't surf fish but I do run (in the boat) the beach surf fishing.
I use my truck to get the boat to the ramp .

Surf fishing no good. Tried Surf Fishing again today[,near Springmaid Pier],again nothing.Used live Mullet,CutBAIT,Shrimp,Would of been happy catchin a small Blue or Whiting,guess I ll start Bass fishing ,nothing biting in ocean.

There is also some white perch action in the back bay areas... .
If you really wanted to you could get some small twister tails and target sundials from the beach .
There have been some reports of bass taken from the beaches, but they have been spotty at best .

I am going to build some Surf rods to het the beaches this crab and a 6 inch long sculpin looking fish.
How did you do from the beach there.
