January 6, 2012 - 9:45pm Anyone have trouble swallowing? Food gets stuck at Adams Apple. Sometimes liquid hurts going down at sternum and it hurts in middle of back. I'm on 4th tx of second cycle of folfox. They are scheduling an endoscopy. Just curious...

Some thyroid problems like a mild thyroiditis or inflammation can make it hard to swallow swallowing, only the 'broken glass' feeling in my throat when swallowing anything cold.

A few years ago, I started waking up in the middle of the night choking of involuntary swallowing reflexes in an attempt (I guess) to rectify the issue, but it only makes it worse and throat-clearing...all finds....

Is it true that swallowing snake venom has little to no effect? I heard that on a show I think. Apparently, it has to be injected, not swallowed.

Seems to happen when my when swallowing liquid or solid food.
Not all the time and usually spit swallowing only.
Thump when I swallow.

New symtom is that I have been having trouble swallowing. It feels like I have flem in my throat but if I try to cough it up I feel like I am gagging on my ubula. I have to force myself not to try to clear it. Any advice?
