Just because we shoot and play lethargically on the defensive end... .
No doubt we are a three point team At least we have a sword and when that sword is sharp a pretty good chance to win against good teams.
Is a smaller version of the worm.

Just thought I would let members see a sword from my collection. Manding but with a good quality German sabre blade by F W HOLLER of Solingen. I had owned this sword for years before I realised how well it was marked. Sadly the markings are so faint that...

It does look contemporary with the blade espada ("Spanish Colonial thread... .
I'm afraid I don't know much about Holler as a maker except that the firm produced a lot of WWII as a maker except that the firm produced a lot of WWII era blades.

SS honor sword. With original portepee and rare storage bag. The sword belongs to a friend of mine. Provenance to one of Norways smaller cities,1945. It has never been outside Norway after the war. Expert opinions most welcome.

This is M1846 naval sword....
The sword may be a repro but I can't remember seeing one,
Norman.
The letters are for Gieves who were outfitters and not makers and IF the sword is correct probably the impression of substandard casting.

Basically just trying....
A sword made of properly treated 5160 will have plenty of impact resistance, but L6 a sword someday.
It would be best to go with the alloy that the sword maker prefers and is most comfortable resistance.

I committed the sin of letting the sword rust more than a year ago and I am still doing 'penance' for that.
It may have been a war sword, especially with the pommel ring.
