As for the rest of your symptoms, yup I have most have very typical TMJ symptoms though.
Hands get cold a lot and this is due to my TMJ.

Dental/sinus/TMJ/weird and wonderful pain syndromes/ ear nose and throat problems are all possible surgeon first.

I've often reconsidered the value of community (not online) support
groups for people trying to deal with TMJ and TMD problems. Everytime I

I would challenge what the TMJ doctor said about the mouth guard. A mouth guard keeps the joints slightly open which means when you grind your teeth you do less damage. I've been through the mill TMJ wise (10.5 hour long surgery to repair both joints)...
