This is slightly off-topic, as I'm referring to official DVD releases of TV programmes, but I have contacted many of the companies that have released TV programmes which they have cut, to voice my outrage.

Freeview TV problem with seeing what programmes are on/upcoming on certain channels? When i browse through channels on my freeview tv, I can't see what is on a certain channel and what programmes are coming up, for instance, if I go to the channel VIVA...

It's not you , its the broadcaster (to paraphrase a saying)
in theory all channels broadcast all the information... .
It is all explained in the set up guide.
You have a button on your remote control, usually marked as EPG; Electronic Programme Guide.
