In the middle of the floor during my 1st tri while my toddler watched TV.
Does anyone else think letting your kids watch TV when they are an infant/toddler is lazy? A friend said something to me today about how dumb Bubble Guppies is and I told her I'm not planning on allowing much TV when I can play and read to my daughter...

Up to a certain age I could do everything with DD, even the same way .
I dont' think a little amount of TV is evil though.
If the infant or toddler does nothing but watch TV then yes, I have a problem with that.
I was just reading the post about letting your little one watch tv, and our LO also likes TV. What harm does it do for them to watch TV before they are 2?

I was afraid she would say that.
I mentioned it to the pediatrician this week and she said they really shouldn't have structured TV time until 2.
Our little one loves TV too.
Hello there, just looking for some views on this much debated topic. I have a 3 year old boy who likes to watch cbeebies in the morning and I have created a routine of this which is quite my own fault. It is my view that tv promotes a short attention ...

My H has been working 7 days/week about 15-18 hours/day for over a month, and it's going to continue for at least through the spring. He typically has long days, but it's never been this bad, and I'm kind of going crazy here. I always tell myself that...

If it helps any, maybe you could get your toddler a daddy doll? I have one in my siggy and although evelyn is too.
I imagine it's ten times harder with a toddler that knows daddy is gone too.
It's hard.
Just seen a hilarious debate on Breakfast TV between a representative of Mumsnet and Katie Hopkins (both mums) arguing the case for babies having to pay for Olympics tickets. While I think it's out of order to ask for a FULL ticket price to bring a babe...

And discourage under-5s unless it is specifically aimed at them because a toddler will not sit still and quiet through an hour each act, but BABIES? The excuse is always the same - can't get a babysitter.
My DD is only one but already obsessed with electronics. She already figured out the old tv remote does not change the channels and only wants the real thing. All my friends children are older so i cant ask them. But is there something other than a video...
