I'm getting a 2012 650 on thursday, and plan on taking a 450 mile round trip on saturday? as long as i follow the recommendations for rpm's and service miles, is this a bad idea? please help!! also, what speed is at 4,000 rpm's in 6th gear?

I say go slow on your trip but not at a constant rpms, then ....
My old anecdotal info like this is all you are going to get from people .
