I want to make an actual compact casette mix-tape as a gift for someone. I use iTunes to manage all of my music.
So a few questions:
1) If I gather a bunch of songs on a playlist for sides a/b of the tape, how can I ensure that the volume for all songs...

Turn on the 'Sound Check' feature of iTunes to record onto the actual tape?

I have replaced the tape input from a RS-177H amplifier with RCA jacks. When playing an mp3 player through the jacks the volume is lower than the volume for the radio and phonograph. Is there something I can do to increase this? I believe the tape input...

It is the input from the radio chassis, which contains 2 stages of audio amplification, one of which is bypassed... .
With anything? Maybe a CD player? No because as far as im aware botbh tape and cd have the sameJ402 is not the Tape Input.

Make sure the new tape player has a frequency response to at least 18KHz, and supports CrO2/Metal EQ probably rarely/never been used - the sound was very clear and crisp (well for tape) with no wow.

I know the cassette wasn't invented yet but is there a cassette tape deck that would fit a 68 and look as good as a stock sapphire? I found this one
