Is it true, in Massachusetts, tax stamp or transfer tax will be increase after Jan. 1, 2011? do any one know what the new tax rate will be?

Thank you It is Massachusetts, so a tax increase of any kind at any time is possible, but I have not heard about a tax stamp increase either.

When you try to do these calculations and come up with just a 1.9% increase....
This would mean a tax increase from $3000 in 2011 to $3057 in 2012 the tax would increase from $3340 to $3403.
Is $1.50 per $100 of assessment.
