My mom is doing 4 cycles of AC and then has a choice of:
1) Taxol + Herceptin (Every week for both for 12 wks)
2) Taxotere + Herceptin (Every 21 days for Taxotere for a total of 3 or 4 cycles (i forget); Weekly Herceptin)
I know that Taxotere is a harder...

Lisa to Abraxane after an allergic reaction....
I did get a bit of tingling/numbness after the 3rd of Taxotere or Taxol.You might ask if Abraxane is available - it's just a kinder, gentler Taxol.
I had Taxol with Carboplatin and Herceptin.

My DIL, who is 37, was DX'd with BC last November. She is currently doing 4 treatments of Adriamycin and Cytoxin every 2 weeks. She is in remarkably good health so is tolerating this regimen well. This will be followed by 12 weekly infusions of Taxol....

The taxol treatments gave me a little bit more trouble Ann.
I found the Taxol muchI did this same regimen along with Avastin.
I finished Taxol mid August.
By 12 weeks of weekly Taxol (aslo Herceptin).

Hi All,
I am just wondering how long you all have had body aches after finishing taxol. It has been 6 wks and I still have bad body aches everyday. I know it is some what due to doing more now that I am done with treatment and working a few days a week...

I have had 6 so far, and no pain, just some twinges here and there .
I am right in the middle of Taxol tx, so I can't help you with your on weekly taxol.

If I insisted on treatment they both would have used Taxol/Herceptin.
TE’s removed May 4th –boo! Herceptin; which is my course of action.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced chills (no fever) and/or joint pain while on Herceptin only? I'm taking 800 mg of Ibuprofen two to three times a day and the joint pain improves but doesn't go away completely. Also very stiff.... I'm not ...

The only SE I have from herceptin is a runny nose! I had constant chills with Herceptin.
My doctor thinks it's lack of estrogen - chemo killed my ovaries .
I have severe joint pain but it isn't because of herceptin.

Do you get your Herceptin treatments via port or IV? anyone tried both? What was your experience with it via IV? If it helps I have giant veins. I haven't started hercepting treatment yet but I hate my port, its very uncomfortable, and hurts after...

My sister is receiving her Herceptin through her port and she was told she would need to keep her port until the Herceptin is finished.

Anyone out there who had to stop Herceptin for awhile then go back on it. They are giving me 8wks off and depending on Muga Scan results they will put me back on it. If its giving me problems now after only 4 months on it and I only have the once a week...

After I had 4 rounds of AC I then started Taxol with Herceptin then surgery then Taxol and Herceptin....
While I was receiving it with taxol, everything anything, and it was 61.
I have had 6 treatments of herceptin so far.

I joined this trial - I have one more AC left then the 3 week break then I start with the Taxol and herceptin, I was really happy that I got into the treatment arm, there are no FDA approved targeted therpies for me because I'm triple negative....
