I need to know where TDC is for cylinder one.
Sounds easy, but it turns over 720*, so it has 2 TDC marks.
As the belt snapped, I am not relying that the closest TDC is the correct one.
How do I line it up all correctly?

LOL is put in the first post and thinking in a non-technical term, the TWO TDC marks are only ONE
as in he has all the marks lined up, Crank & Cams....
How can it have two TDC marks? Please clarify what engine you have.

Some may see this as a stupid question but I'm pulling the head off after a TB failure and the Bentley calls for putting the crank in a position so that no cylinders are at TDC. Its fairly easy to put cylinder 1 at TDC, but is there a trick to setting...

Awesome Ensure your TDC mark on the crank is clearly visible before you put your head back on; it can be hard I am ready to hook up the belt.
This puts all pistons at half mast.
Go to TDC, then turn another 1/4 turn of the crank.

How to find 32 degrees before TDC? I am trying to check/set the timing on the Chryser 1359HG (1977) with the Magnapower II CD unit ( see pic). The book says to mark the flywheel at TDC and also 32 degrees before TDC. The engine has the index tab mounted...

You don't need anything to static time, or if there are no scuff marks on the slots, you may safely assume that the pointer is set correctly to TDC and may timeRe....
And engine block.

This will add the TDC and some of it's dials to the 'new' stock SH5 interface. From the text file TDC_Dials_1_0_0_ByTheDarkWraith_Stock SH5 switches.txt located in MODS\TDC_Dials_1_0_0_ByTheDarkWraith_Stock SH5 switches\Documentation:

Thank you for the insight-
That 'dead' zone at TDC is a factor I hadn't thought about is not quite at TDC and rock....
Here does not move.
The only time I use a stop is with the heads on.
And after tdc and split the difference.

So I posted about this before, but I've got a video to show about it now...

Then, as jlex said, once the car's warmed up, you gotta use the strobe at 0 TDC.
Get to TDC and static time.
