My hagwon boss sporadically demands that teachers give money so the hagwon can buy the students presents.
This week being Children's Day, we have to pay the boss 20,000 won.

Unless everyone is chipping in for a gift in Korea we had a "Teacher's fund" where everyone put some money in so that when teachers had babies) the school could....
They wouldn't ask the teachers to contribute.

Came across this on fb yesterday. I think they're just adorable. Not too expensive, she ships to Ireland for the same rate as the UK and if I was a teacher, I'd be chuffed with these!

A bouquet of flowers is a traditional gift for dance teachers (well, maybe justWe usually all chip in together and get ours spa packages or mani/pedi gift certificates ballet).

Is it customary to get a gift for a teacher at the end of the year? All the parents were asked to pitch in $5 for a gift for teachers appreciation week but not all of the parents did so the homeroom mom wasn't able to buy him much. My son loves his teacher...

Make it a practical gift and no problem I know teachers who have so much apple themed stuff....
Some a gift card to a craft store.
I also send one in at Christmas.
