[BC] Shaw techs overloaded? What's with the long wait-time to have someone sent out now? I never remember it being this bad but earlier in the month I had an outage and they didn't have anyone to send out for almost a week. Now I'm trying to do a move...

Does anybody pay their tech a base salary, or guaranteed daily # of hours, combined with a flat rate style pay scale for the difference ?
I am considering a change to flat rate but have heard of shops who use a combination of both hourly and flat rate...

Right now people are holding money close and not doing maintenance or repairs on accesories.
Employers laid Guys off because of the economy and are waiting to see what the winter brings.
There are a lot of good traimed men out there to choose from now...
