Aaa Neko Case back on Tiny guitar was invented for tenor banjo players to have an easy instrument swap.
And playing it like a wooden banjo… And Neko Case plays tenor, and she's hot....

I can say at jam sessions 5-string banjos are oftenBanjo is easier to chord but bluegrass banjo requires intricate finger picking.
Plays tenor banjo (don't ask) and guitar.

Use a tenor or alto saxophone with any hand there is music readily available for Eb alto and Bb tenor that has concert pitch accompaniment with 3 types of mouthpiece C ....
Piccolo, violin, banjo, bass, recorder, penny whistles etc.
