I am looking for some good text books in the public domain, which could be used to teach computing to school kids aged (10-15). I couldn't get any googling for it. Can somebody out there point me to good links. If text books are not available any information...

In the UK schools tend books specific to this age group on general computing will be a challenging task, but there are always be my first choice for teaching programming....

Anyone else tried these on an original iPad yet? I downloaded the free 'Life on Earth' text book and found it almost unusable. It takes several seconds to load in pages, and crashes constantly. Are Apple treating the iPad 1 as end of life and now developing...

I just dropped 300 bones on them and still have one class to buy for. It pisses me off every time, the special textbook editions for my school and the codes that are required to do online work that cost 100 bucks a pop. Biggest waste of money ever...
