Is it just me but once Arkham Asylum dies it would be almost impossible to create a descent villain theme team with modern age. Seriously they neutered all the keywords from the newest figures to have generic or location (at best) based and Team based...

I went to play a few games of Lotr's with friends last night, when i turned up I was asked 'fellowship or minions', my reaction was i didnt know it had to be film themed, I was the only team without a clear 'good' or 'bad theme, is this a usual reaction...

It's really just you give a character an action on your turn who was just given an action token to make a Theme team an action token is not....
A token via theme team PC does not stop you from taking an action on the same turn.

When it first rolled out, I thought it was a great benefit for themed teams that don't have a figure with PC. What it's turned into is something that brings the game to a turtle's pace and takes some of the surprise fun moments from the game.
