What Thermostat?

Trust me - don't remove the thermostat in the MX5. They like em - I don't understand tehnically why, I just know they like em. The OEM one is the go too as it has the dual valve design which the aftermarket ones do not. source

Keeping cool - thermo-electric cooling plate?

In areas where the weather gets hot, an air conditioner of some sort is mandatory for the safety and comfort of your chinchillas. Chinchillas are very prone to heat stroke due to their dense fur. Is there some way to install an air conditioner to use on those hot days? source

What thermostat do I need?

I would say no you need to look elsewhere to solve the problem. Is the fan coming on when it is suppsoed to and is the electric pump working properly? source

Intake Air Preheat on a CIS-E?

Any issues with cold start or drivability at all or is it just a waist of plastic left over from the carb setup? I suspect with a TT268 cam I wouldn't notice anyway. source
