I've seen that the Apple TV 2 can be jailbroken to give you access to movies and sports.
My question is what do I need to look for when buying one of these (eg what channels are the best, XB etc)?
Anything to be wary of?

Re buying an ATV2 and what works out of the box - I could be wrong but I don't think.
Go install XBMC on your PC/mac then install Navi-X and if you can hard drive.. .

$350 for an Apple TV 2 is rediculous, especially for an Apple TV.
There's hints that it's coming soon but there's no definitive yes or no so it's still speculation/interpretation .
I'd wait for the Apple TV 3 jailbreak.

Not likely to do so but I think that Apple has the upper hand here. If they didn't, they never would have been able to arrange the lucrative deals they have in the first place.
