I have 35w 5000k and want to keep that look. Just re doing all my hids to 55w. If I remember correctly for 55w I would need 6000k for the 5000k look correct? And has anyone had problems running 55w in the fogs?

Setting up a GL 60, 2x2 floor area. I will have (4) plants. I'm using (1) 150w HPS centered over the plants and (8 ) 60w CFL's ( 5000k each ) flanking the HPS. Am I thinking properly?

Guys I ordered some HID's from DDM tuning.
They are the H7 35W 5000K for the lowbeams.
Is there a thread that is devoted to installing the HID kit?
How easy are these lowbeams to access?
Answer Snippets (Read the full thread at legacygt):
I am thinking of changing.
Keep us updated with pictures and let us know how the kit is I'm thinking of going holders for the clips/fastners on the car so you remember what goes where.

Not happy with my Morimoto 5000k bulbs and as many of you have said, the Phillips bulbs are much brighter. Reeeeally want a 5000k look though.
Anybody have any experience with these?

...Actually Osram claims the CBI puts...blue-d2s-6000k
I dont mind a "very small... .
It gives you 5000k without sacrificing lumens.
The 5000k quality bulb to seek out is the Osram Xenarc 66240 CBI.
Haven't tried the color shifting ones myself.

I know it could be a matter of opinion, but which one is better? I have read that 4300k is the better option however some OEM manufacturers use up to 5500k in stock lights. It seems like 5000k would be a good compromise. But does 700k difference really...

I have a ''09 ROP Si and I'm thinking about getting 5000k (or any other color close to bright white) for it but I'm not sure if it'll look good with the color of the car.

Very close to pure white....
When you say retrofits your I don't want anything above 5000k cause that would be too blue and I'm not really into that look with 5000k.

5000k is near pure white.
