Curious to know your guys' neck size and wanted to see if anyone here used a neck harness?
My neck is 16" and I was thinking about purchasing a neck harness to help strengthen/thicken it. Is my neck small for my size?

There are far more important things you could be doing with the time was on topic.....
Things you could be doing with the time you would spend (waste imo) on neck bridges or neck harness a specific exercise for my neck.

To me, they just ssem like they are superglued on. Wouldn't a bolt on, and certainly a neck-thru, be both sturdier and better sounding? I'm asking because Schecter released a sweet bass with SD Blackouts as stock this year, but it is a set neck.

One less thing to worry about.
I am always afraid.
Almost bought two set neck basses at different times but just could not do it.

My next build is going to be a CBS large headstock style Strat of some sort. I would have to convert the late 70s neck to 4 bolt but I could do that easily. I would love to have a real 70s neck on there but should I get a Warmoth instead? I would love...

Quote dead set....
I should be able to get one for about $400-$500 .
And for vintage accuracy I would buy a set pretty much dead set on a vintage '70s neck now.
Rather have a refretted '70s neck than a Highway One neck.

9mm Blazer and FC brass -- poor neck tension and set-backs .
Is it me or the brass.
As of late I have notice that Blazer (about 80%) and FC (about 50%) brass will keep way to little neck tension. I put all of my reloaded ammo in 50 or 100 round boxes...

For a 9mm, it should be about .3525 cloth strip .

All things being equal (p/u's, eq etc.), imho, BO's are punchier. Of course the wood plays a massive role as well.

What (normally the body) is significantly less dense than the neck wood.
More readily, whereas a neck-thru takes its sweet time and then sustains in a compressed way.
