Just curious who has actually gotten a ticket for having their windshield done. I have had mine done on my last four trucks (or since about 2004) and have gotten one ticket for it @ $85. Absolutely worth it. Are they tougher about this in your area? Swole...

Tint Laws So the tint laws here in Wisconsin are 35% in the back and 50% in the front so my question is, is 50% tint even dark? or should i go darker and hope i don't get caught? also, if i were to get caught how much are the tickets?

I currently drive a honda civic, with tinted windows. It is 35 % in the front and 20% in the back. however, i got a ticket due to a police officer said the front tints were to dark and he could not see me (at 4 pm, broad day light). Is this ticket unnecessary...

In fact, many tints actually "ABSORB" most of the light, and reflect of the tint which would satisfy....
However, if dark tint dark tint is "reflective".
The statute describes view-obscuring "COLOUR" or "REFLECTIVE" material.

Having said that lots of folks here get tint all there on window tinting....
The backs can be as dark as you like.
As for the law, it is illegal to tint the front windows.

So I was coming out of the grocery store and as I approached my car a police car drove up to me and the cop asked if the M3 was mine. I said yes and he proceeded to tell me my window tint is too dark and I need to get it removed and replaced with tint...

Its not a moving violation even if you get a ticket for illegal tint, you just have to pay the fine.
IMHO, The car looks much better with that tint than a "legal" tint.
A ticket if I were you.

With summer coming, I'm thinking about tinting the windows to help protect the interior and also to keep the car slightly cooler. Have any of you tinted all four of your windows? If so, what % tint did you go for? Pictures would also be great
