At what age did you switch your LO to a toddler bed, from a crib. Any tips? Did they walk around in the middle of the night?

I'm ready to decorate my toddler's room and put her in a twin bed. I can't seem to find cute girly bedding. I'm not into the character bedding and just want something cute and girly. I checked home goods, but they didn't have anything. Any ideas?

Oh, but if you do go with toddler bed, I'd do if they don't get into a more appropriate bed.
IMHO, toddler beds are a waste of money.

Wishing now i would have just gotten a twin for DD. She is 3.5 and i'm guessing she wont be in her toddler bed for another 6-12 months. She is about average size for her age. So i'm just wondering about what age you switched to a bigger bed for DC.

We are planning to move within the next okay a little after) .
DD has a 6yo friend who is still in hers- it's one that converted from a crib to a toddler bed to the toddler bed and she is 3 1/2 and still fits just fine.

DS just turned 2, he has a gorgeous pottery barn sleigh crib. we also have a pottery barn darcy crib in the basement (thats a whole other story) both are gorgeous and in good condition, the same color and we plan on using one for the baby when it comes...

We changed DS' crib to a toddler bed yesterday. It's a convertible so everything except the front piece is the same (so a little less change than plopping them in a normal toddler bed). He seemed excited about the bed itself but was a little reluctant...

DD was at a friends house who has a toddler bed, and it looked so small I couldn't of my way to buy a toddler....
He's been using to a twin bed.
He's 43in tall and still fits in his toddler bed.
