What guitar player has the best tone in your opinion ? Some of the players that really mean great guitar tone to me are guys like Jimmy Page , Joe Perry , Angus Young & Billy Gibbons !!! Who do you think has killer tone ???

P90's can be found in a lot of different guitar makes & models. Which make/model has your best P90 tone? Why, and what's good about it?

They sound great, and get used.
So's LP Jr's, with original dog ear P90's.
I also like a 335-type guitar with P90's and would love to own one.

When I used to teach guitar I would tell my pupils that the three most important things in becoming a good guitarist were tone, tone and tone. All the great players seem to have it, some tones even have a name - think Clapton's 'Woman Tone' or Van Halen...

The Woolly Mammoth is actually a bass fuzz, but when you use it with a guitar you get that fat sound, using quality clean pickups like the ones in a Gretch you natural.
A Gretch guitar and a Fender 70's twin Reverb.

So 3 of my favorites a guitar.
To me the tone is the voice that is brought forward by the guitar/amp/pickup conbination then the tone knob on your guitar would would change your technique LOL.
By "tone".
