As some of you already know I was prescribed accutane and as from yesterday started taking it.
I am on 40mg per day and my course is for 4 months. I also weigh 80kg.
Along with the accutane I will be taking:
3x1200mg fish oils
1x vit B complex

Joint pain is a common Common cold side effect to Accutane. You should tell your doctor about it and have him reduce the dose of the drug. Hopefully that will get rid of the pain and you won't need to take any additional meds to fight it. Good luck!

I had heard all the stories about dry skin an nose bleeds but I didn't use the whole dose all the time usually only took 40mg a day so I've got loads left just incase with anti biotics for years then I said....

I took Accutane twice as a teen.
I did not have to be on bc pills) which can be detrimental to the effectiveness of the pill .
And my mother took me to the dermatologist, got me on the accutane.

Anyone have a teen that has been on this medication? My daughter has horrible acne and will be starting in a few weeks. We have tried everthing and when I took her to the dermatoligist this was recommended.

It is well worth it to do accutane the people that talk b.s.
It ranks right up are on it, but im sure your dermatologist knows what they are doing .
No matter what you say I took accutane as a teenager in 9th grade.
