I've been interacting with Amazon S3 through S3Fox and I can't seem to delete my buckets. I select a bucket, hit delete, confirm the delete in a popup, and... nothing happens. Is there another tool that I should use?

Apparently, one cannot delete a bucket with objects in it and S3Fox a Java based tool....
Then you can delete the bucket itself.
Delete all of the objects in the bucket first.
Of the other S3 tools can do it as well, though.

I tried a couple of things: S3Browse , the RightAws Ruby gem and other tools. All allow granting access on an individual key basis, but I wasn't able to set the ACL on buckets. Actually, I set the ACL on the bucket, no errors are returned. But when I ...

I'd like to graph the size (in bytes, and # of items) of an Amazon S3 bucket and am looking for an efficient way to get the data.
The s3cmd tools provide a way to get the total file size using s3cmd du s3://bucket_name , but I'm worried about its ability...

I've got about 200k images in a bucket. They all have expires headers of 2050 but I've read you shouldn't send an expires header older than a year. I want to schedule a script to run every month and set the headers to 6 months away. Anything out there...

I bought 10-1 gallon buckets with lids and now don't know what to use them for. My original idea was food storage but a 1 gallon bucket doesn't hold as much as I thought it would. So my question is, what would you use them for?

The mylar does the sealing the bucket protects the mylar....the gasket is useless, and the HDPE that the bucket is made from is poor for long term oxygen penetration/food easier to get off the buckets.
I would agree with you.
