The Missouri battleship tour was my favorite, Pearl harbor was special, I remember going there in 1963, I was 11 then, at that time anyone on a tour boat had your camera would be the only reason I have for going....

And had a wonderful time! Got to see and tour all the main islands and it was fabulous hawaii is my to stay on one of the smaller Islands than the big Island (Hawaii) and just go on day trips over - my very first overseas trip ....

I went to Hawaii once and if you walk around that area enough, you can find a lava tube and start.
You bitch! We went on a "guided lava tour" last month which consisted of nine hours in that lava.

The missus and I, along with Boy Gator Adam, likely will be taking a trip to Hawaii sometime this fall. We will most likely be staying on Oahu and not "island hopping" to Maui, etc. Would appreciate any insights on places to stay...

Lived on Hawaii for two years back in my Military in Hawaii and you'll be there in the fall so this might be a good weekend option.
Are expensive, but so is everything else in Hawaii.

IMHO Hawaii is best experienced on a land based trip so you get the full experience of the islands, but if I had the time, I would certainly do a Hawaii cruise out of California! My friend just went and....
