What type of oil should i use for my Th350 automatic transmission 4x4? Does Dex/merc work or just Dexron atf, any opinions, thanks

Dexron is for GM and Dex/Merc is for GM and Ford So it doesn't matter either oil 295 Approved Automatic Transmission....

My neighbor had extra bottles of ATF Transmission fluid and he asked me if he could use them as chain oil in his chain saw. I said I could get an answer for him. What do you think?

It doesn't have the sap solvents that should be in a real chain oil (which isn't even of tackifier in it or it will sling like craxy....

I use the thickest "scrap" oil around.
Are just wasting time with transmission fluid.

I have County Long Island? There are mixed reviews on changing the "Life Time" BMW Automatic Transmission with the transmission after the change, ....
If the transmission is a manual, I'd say yes to that as well.

Yes it's a load of BS- they say that the service of lifetime 6MT fluid change .
They claim to have never changed the transmission oil never changed the transmission oil on any M3.

Manual Transmission Gear Oil weight I have a 2002 Nissan Sentra GXE with 1.8L engine and manual 5spd.
Just hit 90K miles, and clutch was feeling a bit strange, so I've flushed the clutch fluid which helped a lot but I think the gear oil needs some TLC...

I used mobile1 10w30 and that was fine, for gear oil I used amsol synchromesh....

Engine - 5w30 fully synth
Transmission - Redline synth Gear oil (no sulphur) 5W30 is probably a bit gear oil.

Got in MFactory magnetic Oil and Transmission drain plugs Got these in today. MFactory Magnetic Drain plugs. One for oil pan and one for the trans.
Figured I share some photos of them. Going to be putting them in once my Amsoil for the trans gets here...

You won't change the transmission fluid as often as the oil.
The plug with the bigger magnet is for the transmission and the smaller one is for the oil.

You need to take off the back and fill it with oil then push the handle to force the ....
Just don't be fooled by the name.
