Will they still deport with no travel documents?
If his home country will not provide his travel docs or refuse to accept him back, then no, he would not be deported at this time. He would likely be held for 90 or 180 days, at which time a status hearing would be held and he would probably be released and have to report to ICE periodically. If at some point, his home country decided to provide docs or accept him, he would be picked up and deported.
Anyways, it is fairly uncommon for that to happen. It is most likely that his home country will provide the travel docs and he will be deported. In some cases, it is better for the family to provide them and save the waiting time, but ICE will wait if they have to.

We leave on the 26th and I got mine last Tuesday. She called me about them the end of the week before though so I would think if you haven't heard in a week, call them.
