Take the local system to get to the main train station in Barcelona, and then catch one of several-times-a-day trains to Salou .
In Google Maps, directions by "public transit" refer to municipal/commuter systems, not the national rail systems .

Most of the providers offer USA or europe hosting and its hard to find out the specific areas hosting .

Hotels mostly 4 star and located conveniently to transportation which is great for when you're on your own .
Mostly touring, both bus and walking.
