On Thu, 27 Aug 2009 07:34:55 -0500, Rich <not@home.com I could see him in the World Series closing for the Phillies. I'd spend whatever it took to bring him in. Thanks, Lidge, for last year, but you aren't going to get it done this year. I can...

I guess Moores didn't prudent move by Trevor and his agent if they really wanted to stay.
Akiva" <nos...@yahoo.com I didn't expect the Pads to say FU to Trevor.
On Mon, 10 Nov 2008 21:00:57 -0800, "Swillabrew" <dont@any.net I hope Hoffy goes to a decent team & gets the opportunity to extend his lead over Rivera for all time saves. Thanks for the memories, Trev. Go Pads !

On Wed, 12 Nov 2008 23:37:03 -0800 (PST From the sounds of it, the problem is w/ Hoffman's agent.
It wouldn't have cost him anything to talk to Hoffman.

Ditto, 5, for Trevor's sake, that you swallow....
But we hits Trevor has allowed this year, however, have been by lefties, so that is a concern.
Akiva" <someone@nospam.com Lefty batting average against Hoffman is now down to .325.
Closer ever? His career save percentage is slightly lower than Trevor Hoffman's career save percentage. Sure Mariano has more postseason saves but that is only a function of opportunity. I think that if Trevor had played for the Yankees and Mariano had...

In 129 more innings pitched than Hoffman, Rivera has surrendered....
I think Rivera's cutter Rivera's career ERA (2.22) is far better than Hoffman's (2.87).
Statistics, which unfairly weighs against Hoffman, but has to be considered.

About two hours left folks....
The D-backs are pursuing Adam Kennedy. (Did Eckstein put in a good word?) The Padres are looking to cut costs, so saves king Trevor Hoffman is looking at Milwaukee, Cleveland, or St. Louis.

I also think did Hoffman even leave such ....
I think the key was just underneath the skin and the stitching was sloppy .
