Are we allowed to modified the information, which displayed in default by rhythmbox as follow:

You could just remove Genre; open Rhythmbox, click Edit---->Preferences then under Visible by rhythmbox as follow:

Does anyone notice rhythmbox in 12.04 is super slow? When I first open it (while it scans for changes) it goes totally unresponsive for like 10 seconds.
It also freezes for 5 seconds or so when I search the library. This seems even slower than banshee...

Tried renaming it to .old and let Rhythmbox rebuild the file (I seem to remember having this problem before and was consuming all the cpu.So restored....
~/.local/share/rhythmbox/rhythmdb.xml is up to 9.2mb.
13,109 songs in 1250 albums.

To make sure you have every reference to RB in your home, use the command Code: locate rhythmbox I can see on my 10.04 that may exist, but I'm not sure about in 12.04, is ~/.gconf/apps/rhythmbox, but I'm not sure about in 12.04, is .gconf....
